Seeing the same issue with the guild merchants - also the 25% discount on Merchants star applies every time you upgrade one of those so the Traders and Caravaners just become free after enough purchases, lol. Also get a hard lock that I haven't found a way to get past when a "pick one of the two" option appears as the influence keeps going up but I can't interact with anything. Also couldn't seem to purchase the 9th star upgrade, but usually tried around the same time as the previous issue manifests so might just be the same issue (or a problem with gaining too much influence at once since I purchased enough merchant upgrades to have them granting many millions per second due to the upgrades being free).
Overall though, very fun and I appreciate the time waster. Thanks!

Can you explain the complete freeze in more detail? Does it happen when events appear (the ones with two choices and risk descriptions below the buttons)? Are you unable to interact with the event buttons at all?

The event first appearing is just my first thought on the cause as that is the only new thing that has happened and is present when the game goes unresponsive. The first time it happened I could see all of the correct text load and the three buttons with highlight states still recognized that I was hovering over them (so "Ready!!!", "Conspire", and "Expose") but clicking on them does nothing and I can't click on anything else either (like the stars or hiring any more minions) nor can I even scroll the page anymore - I managed to refresh the page in time and got rolled back a few minutes before the issue occurred but immediately hit it again once I got to a choice again and it behaved the same other than the actual Choice Message not changing and remained the generic text, though the risk descriptions still loaded (as in the generic message for when you hit Sovereign stayed present, so I have no idea what the choices refer to - its possible that message just changed when I hit enough influence and I didn't notice it at first). I was also actively interacting with the top stars and reading their descriptions probably at the same time it tried to change to a Choice Event, so that could likely be part of the repro

It would be nice to show the next unlock goals instead of blindly waiting for something to happen so you can plan around it.

Thank you so much for the explanation; I think I understand the issue now. It’s definitely the button problem, which I’ll fix as soon as possible.
As for the text loading conflict, I’ll need to run some tests because I have a hunch about the cause, but I need to verify it.
